Half a million Ukrainians have fled the country since the Russian invasion and more than 100 civilians, including children, have been killed, the UN has said.
“More than 500,000 refugees have now fled from Ukraine into neighbouring countries,” Filippo Grandi, commissioner of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, said on Monday.
Many more have been internally displaced, the UNHCR added. The Office for the High Commissioner for Human Rights said 102 civilians had been killed so far in the conflict from Thursday morning to Sunday night, including seven children, though it warned the real figure was likely to be considerably higher.
