Huawei Technologies posted record sales and its strongest net profit in three years in 2013, as the Chinese telecoms equipment company enjoyed strong growth in its enterprise and consumer businesses.
The Shenzhen-based company said revenues rose 8.5 per cent year-on-year to Rmb239bn (US$38.5bn) while net profit jumped 34 per cent to Rmb21bn.
Eric Xu, one of the company’s three rotating chief executives, said Huawei had met its business targets “thanks to the favourable global macroeconomic and industry environment”.
