Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing said it would postpone plans to extend from January 1 to April 1 the “blackout” period during which directors are banned from trading their securities.
However, the operator has refused to withdraw the amendment completely.
“The listing committee strongly believes that the rule is in the long-term interest of Hong Kong and in the interest of the investing public,” said the HKEx.
