The UK government has failed to attract offshore wind developers to its latest round of contracts for new projects, in a blow to the country’s decarbonisation plans.
No offshore wind projects have been awarded contracts in this year’s auction for subsidies, according to results published on Friday.
Developers warned for months that the maximum level of support on offer in the auction was too low to offset their rising costs.
